I’m currently reading…

 

Frederick Douglass, Prophet of Freedom, by David W. Blight. This is an ARC I got through NetGalley; I started it mid-June and I’m about halfway through. It’s about 900 pages long and very dense, but informative.

Battle Royale, by Koushun Takami. I’m about 100 pages into this one; I’ve been meaning to read it for ages.

The Wife Between Us, by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. This is a thriller/mystery novel with loads of twists and turns. I’m almost finished and should have a full review up later this week.

The Death of Mrs. Westaway, by Ruth Ware. Read my review here.

The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, by Stuart Turton. This was a fun sci-fi, mystery, thriller.

When Elephant Fly, by Nancy Richardson Fischer. This is a coming of age novel about mental health, forgiveness, and a lot more.

Beside A Burning Sea, by John Shors. I’ve had this historical fiction novel sitting on my shelf so long I no longer remember purchasing it. Time to read it or it has to go.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, by Gail Honeyman. I’m beyond excited to read this book. I’ve seen nothing but glowing reviews for it.

The Favorite Sister, by Jessica Knoll. I put a hold on this with my library before reading Knoll’s last book, Luckiest Girl Alive, which fell completely flat for me. So I’m not super enthusiastic about starting this one; if it doesn’t grab me within the first few chapters, it may be a DNF for me.
